Queenscliff Heritage Walks
Join the Queenscliff Visitor Centre guides and take a leisurely stroll through the historic streets of Queenscliff and learn about the fascinating old buildings and heritage. Finish up with afternoon tea at one of the grand old buildings (included in tour price). $12 per adult. Bookings are essential. Groups anytime by appointment.

Fort Queenscliff
Voted 2011 ‘Community Event of the Year’ for their 150th Anniversary of Military Presence in Queenscliff.
Fort Queenscliff, in Victoria dates from1860 when an open battery was constructed on Shortland’s Bluff to defend the entrance to Port Phillip Bay. The Fort which underwent major redevelopment in the late 1870’s became the headquarters for an extensive chain of forts around Port Phillip Heads.
Today, it is one of the largest and best preserved forts in the country. Enjoy this rare opportunity to tour a 19th century Coastal Artillery Fort which is an operating Australian Army Base.

What are you likely to go for?
– Calamari season is traditionally hotting up from June in Queenscliff.

Squid grounds when the weather had been calm and the water is clear is going to produce excellent results.

– King George Whiting or “Tings” as they are affectionately known are caught throughout the year.

These hot little premier table fish are plentiful from May to October.
